Our Program

Curriculum

The goals of the curriculum include:
a. Providing instruction and training in the English language
b. Familiarizing international students with the educational methods of higher education institutions in the United States.

Course Description

Full-time students in the Intensive English Program attend classes for a minimum of 21 hours per week. During the fall and spring semesters, students follow the regular university calendar and schedule of Monday / Wednesday / Friday classes of 50 minutes and Tuesday / Thursday classes of 75 minutes each.

  • SPELLING BEE – On April 25th at 7:00 PM a Spelling Bee will be held in G24 Eiesland. Intensive English Program students will compete for prizes showcasing their mastery of English vocabulary and spelling.

  • VOCABULARY BREAKFAST – Students in the Intensive English Program demonstrated their vocabulary and culture knowledge on the topics of food, meals, and dining in a morning activity on Thursday, March 1st. Students studied and practiced needed vocabulary, prepared breakfast food items from their various home cultures, as well as the U.S., and hosted a breakfast conversation group for fellow students and teachers.
